Snog, marry, avoid returns.
It returns... The fortnightly snog, marry, avoid is back!
This one is issue five, but just in case you hadn't seen the previous editions, I've included them below.
(To get a nice big image of the grouped images, left-click it once, then right-click on the image and click 'Open Image in New Tab').

Hello!
Hello! This is where I put my pictures. It's nice... (Or so I like to think so).

Same old dinosaurs and robots causing havoc.
Drew a cityscape with a robot in it a little while ago, and drew some dinosaurs eating a robot a little while before that. This morning I decided to put them together... Makes perfect sense right!

Atlas EP cover commission.
Last year I created an album cover for a friend who has ventured into the music business, and several months later, I'm pleased to announce that it has now been released.
You can check out Atlas's drum and bass, and electro music here: http://soundcloud.com/atlasuk

My house fell down.
Dear dedicated viewers, accidental visitors and those who have stumbled upon this page by complete fluke, I can only apologise for the lack of drawing and blog-based activity of late.
You see, about 6-weeks ago the little house in Brighton where I used to reside decided to start to fall down... Literally.
I had a phone call one sunny Tuesday afternoon alerting me that the building was 'structurally unsafe' and with 6-inch long cracks starting to appear in the walls, we had to be - and I quote - "evacuated". So began a mad dash to move out of a building thats walls were starting to crumble, and desperately find a new place to house my extensive collection of pens and paper, and thus chaos ensued.
6-weeks later, and after far too long without taking on hardly any creative work, I have a new house, am settled, and the dust sheets (figuratively speaking) can be thrown off of my sketchbooks and Mac. So dedicated viewers, accidental visitors and those who have stumbled upon this page by complete fluke, bear with me because I'm now drawing again, and if you have a spare 30-seconds one day soon, do return and have a look around, because there will be more pictures up on here soon. But for now, here's a picture of a London cityscape that I drew before my house fell down.

Website troubles.
To all my dedicated viewers (and accidental visitors)...
My main website at www.olliestone.co.uk underwent a few problems just recently, but now it's back up and running. Hallelujah!
www.olliestone.co.uk and www.olliestone.com are now both directing you straight into my illustrative clutches. (Insert smiley face here).

It's why I do it.
Like most 'freelancers' I have a day job too. It's a job that pays the bills when the creative work doesn't, and even though it pains me to say it, it's pretty necessary.
I was at my day job on Friday afternoon, when a little email dropped onto the ol' Blackberry with a title of 'Image request'. What could this be I wondered?
Turns out it was a flattering email from London-based blogger and interior decoration obsessive, Carrie Graham-Clarke, who had stumbled upon my humble website and thought it just spiffy enough to blog about.
Carrie has an immensely awesome blog that she updates frequently, and which features a treasure trove of creative-ness, ranging from interior design, illustration, art, food and lego kitchens, and now, my illustrative work too.
You can see Carrie's blog here... http://www.carrieclarke.co.uk/wp/
You can see her flattering little feature on myself here... http://www.carrieclarke.co.uk/wp/ollie-stone/
Thanks again for the feature Carrie.
It's always nice to receive an email like that (rather than one for 'cheap viagra'). Because after all, I just want to create images that make people smile, and that's why I draw silly pictures.
